Welcome to the website of Ruislip Synagogue, which serves the Jewish Community in Ruislip and the surrounding districts.
We are a small friendly congregation and are fortunate to be situated in a very pleasant area close to the north-west boundary of west London, enjoying many amenities.
Ruislip is easily accessible to the West End and City, being served by the Uxbridge branch of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines, with the Central line of the Underground being a bus ride away. Ruislip is in the same London borough as Heathrow (London Borough of Hillingdon), which is 10 miles to our south.
Kosher food is not difficult to obtain many nearby supermarkets have kosher sections. Supervised bread can be ordered from an outlet close by.
Ruislip Shul is well situated for Jewish schools. Moriah Jewish day school the highly acclaimed United Synagogue School is about 2 miles from the Shul. As far as secondary schools are concerned JFS is also close by there is a direct tube line taking 20 mins to Preston Road a short bus ride. Immanuel College is within comfortable reach by car.
The shopping centres of Harrow and Uxbridge are a short hop by tube, with Watford also in easy reach. The local shopping centres of Ruislip and Ruislip Manor are quite comprehensive. |
